The Installation

Every FableType installation is designed to create fine art portraiture in public.

More than a portrait studio, it is an immersive narrative environment in which visitors enter the visual world of The Universal Fairytale and become the authors of their own story.

Museums, galleries, festivals, universities and cultural organisations present FableType as a living artwork.

Visitors may explore the installation independently, observe portrait sessions as they take place, or participate in a portrait sitting by appointment.

Rather than documenting a person within a setting, FableType creates narrative portraiture.

Each portrait preserves a moment in which the visitor inhabits the fairytale itself, becoming both subject and storyteller within its unfolding world.

Each installation is adapted to its venue while preserving the artistic integrity of the work.

Every portrait is realised as a museum-quality fine art print.

Analogue AfterImages presents the handcrafted photographic and printmaking processes through which each portrait becomes a finished artwork.
